The Hawaii Anglican Network is a Network in Formation of the Diocese of the Rocky Mountains. As such the HAN shares the same theological commitments of the DRM
The Diocese [and by extension the Hawaii Anglican Network] being part of the one, holy, catholic and apostolic church of Jesus Christ, believes and confesses Jesus Christ as Lord. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no one comes to the Father but by Him.
This Diocese [and by extension the Hawaii Anglican Network] holds the essentials of evangelical Anglicanism handed down through the English reformation. We believe that the doctrine of the Church is grounded in the Holy Scriptures and in such teachings of the ancient Fathers and Councils of the Church as are agreeable to those Scriptures.
As such, this Diocese [and by extension the Hawaii Anglican Network] affirms the Jerusalem Declaration that was adopted at the Global Anglican Future Conference in Jerusalem, June 2008.
In particular, this Diocese [and by extension the Hawaii Anglican Network] confesses and upholds:
(a) The Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be God’s Word written, containing all that is necessary for salvation;
(b) The orthodox Christian creeds, namely the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed and the Athanasian Creed together with the Chalcedonian Definition;
(c) The Thirty-nine Articles as containing foundational doctrine of the Church agreeing with God’s Word and as authoritative for Anglicans today;
(d) Anglican sacramental and liturgical heritage as an expression of the gospel, and the 1662 Book of Common Prayer as a true and authoritative standard of worship and prayer, to be translated and locally adapted for each culture.
